Eric has taught dozens of piano and composition students privately since 1995. Eric’s philosophy in teaching is to first understand what the student is passionate about and then formulate a lesson plan to best fulfill that passion. He accomplishes this by utilizing his knowledge of classical technique and theory, playing by ear, jazz/commercial theory and harmony, and practical experience working in the music industry.

Eric has worked with students from ages 5 to over 60. You're never too old to start! Many of his former students have gone off to study music in college and are currently performing professionally, on their worship teams, and writing and recording their own songs. The rates for lessons are:

1/2 hour lesson: $30
4 week prepaid: $100 (You save $20!)

What are the student requirements?

For online lessons, I require that the student be at least ten years or older.

What equipment do i need?

A computer that can be close enough to your piano so that you can communicate with me during the lesson.
High-speed internet connection (DSL, cable-modem or equivalent)
Skype (a free software program that lets you communicate via a webcam - download Skype)
Webcam
...in addition to your piano or keyboard, of course!

How do i set up for a lesson?

Set yourself up to talk to me via Skype while sitting at the piano.
Make sure the microphone you're using is close enough so that I can hear both you and the piano clearly.

How much does it cost?

I charge the same rate of $30 for one lesson or $100 for a block of four lessons.
I receive payment in advance via PayPal, a secure online payment service.
